The location is superb! Staff very friendly. We had a split level bedroom, which was great to use as a family get together.

The beds were comfortable. Didn’t get a chance to use the breakfast room.

I didnt care for the bed being up stairs. I am not a fan of having to use stairs in the middle of the night. Getting to the hotel by car was very confusing. We were so close to the hotel but yet so far. Spent at least an hour trying to get to hotel. One major road that we needed was closed to cars. I am not aware that the hotel put in my information that we needed to park in the parking garage and how to get to the garage. Finally when we entered the parking garage it stated that it was full. Two other cars also had that issue and had to back up the ramp. 10 minutes late we saw that cars were getting thru to an almost empty garage. Very hard to get out of the parking lot with all the different closures you have to go thru. Even thou we paid for parking the night before, we had to call the front desk from garage the to open the gate. The driver had a good understanding of the Dutch language since living in the Netherlands for 17 years but still had a hard time with the parking and even the heat controls in the room.

The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. Very clean throughout, and the room had everything I needed. Local underground carpark is very convenient and very reasonably priced. The hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk to Sittard main square.

The building it is very beautiful and the location is just fine, close to the small center and the room has a gorgeous view of the gardens.

The cleaning could have been better and the elevator for a 4 star hotel seems rather lacking as it was only one for that since and it was the old kind, small and slow , if someone had a few luggage cases you would have to wait sometimes a while to get it.

Nice atmosphere, very comfortable room, good breakfast, easy and cheap parking (in nearest public parking garage). Chef's dinner in Bistrot Volte was superb!! Dog-friendly room (even a food/drink bowl was provided) and dogs are allowed in the bistro (not in the restaurant though, which is also the breakfast room).

The entree/reception is not what you expect (it looks like you enter through the back door) and there are no 'official' stairs to the upper floars, except when you go through the restaurant (but dogs are not allowed there). As an alternative to the small elevator we found another, backdoor stairs through a part of the building that was currently not in use. This hidden route added to the historical atsmosphere though, so not a problem for us as all :).

The location is nice and personnel is friendly. The room was spacious and facilities are good and clean. Breakfast is good.

The room was very cold and although it had a double bed, the bed was covered with 2 single sheets. Parking fee is expensive...

Lovely and stylish hotel. Spot on design, spacious rooms and very friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast was tasty and the selection was great.

Only downside I could find was that there was no water at the breakfast buffet. But if you ask for one you get it.

I liked de big room, with a nice couch and chairs to relax in. The beds were good, although the pillow was a bit thin.

The breakfast was ok, but I expected more for the price you paid, like freshly squeezed juice and more warm options like baked mushrooms and tomatoes. Also the drains smelled as if the room hadn't been used for a while.

Beautiful hotel with tasteful design. The risk of redesigning a former monastery is that the owner goes for insane occult art and shocking images. Luckily the owner Black label so far refrained from that and kept a lot of original details. For a hotel part of the French Accor Franchise the breakfast was very good. The coffee was still automatic machine stuff, the orange juice wholesale pack and the regular bread too dry but the meat, scrambled egg and especially the croissants (despite bake off) of exceptional quality. Nice surprise! Bed comfort was fine although the bedding was as nearly always synthetic and hence feels cheap.

The room is spacious but the windows could not open at night. Only to find out next day they could if a key was asked by the reception (because of child security reasons we guess). We would have had a better night if the receptionist would have told us at arrival. He did not. A few design flaws as wooden window post in a shower where the water hits the posts : meaning even in just a few years the posts already looked worn and if left like this will need replacement soon. The walk from rooms/ elevator to reception is far for the size of the hotel certainly with luggage. But then again as it is a former monastery perhaps there was no choice.

I stayed in the new part of the hotel. New rooms, confortable, good bed. Very nice breakfast. I like to congratulate Magda from the breakfast room.

The location, building and grounds are absolutely stunning. The room was very spacious and modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The quality of the food did not match the hotel. The bistro offered a very limited selection which was moderate in quality but expensive for what you got. The choice and quality of breads, meats, cheeses and pastries at breakfast was mediocre. For a 4 star hotel, they could provide slippers and bathrobes.
